Free Fruit Trees for Long Beach Neighbors
Long Beach deserves neighborhoods where families can breathe cleaner air, find shade on hot days, and have better access to fresh, healthy food.
That’s why the Black Neighborhood Tenant Council is helping connect residents to free fruit trees as part of a community effort to build a healthier, greener Long Beach.
Our city and neighbors face tough challenges every day, like air pollution, extreme heat, lack of tree canopy in some neighborhoods, and limited access to fresh food. Planting fruit trees is one small but meaningful step toward addressing those issues together.
Fruit trees can help create shade, improve air quality, beautify our blocks, and provide families with fresh food over time.
Sign up if you’re interested in receiving a free fruit tree. Trees will be planted in July, and residents are invited to join a virtual info session online on June 25, 2026 to learn more about the opportunity and how to participate.
