Show Up at City Council Nov 18 for Brandon Boyd

Next Tuesday, we show up for #BrandonBoyd. Brandon was a father of six who texted 911 for help during a mental-health crisis, a few days before Thanksgiving last year. Instead of care, LBPD shot and killed him, then left his body uncovered for hours while arresting his sisters and niece. His case reflects the same failures Black families face across the country.

Black people are killed by police at nearly 3 times the rate of white people, and police contact continues to drive trauma, stress and #mentalhealth harm in our communities. This isn’t accidental. It’s systemic.

On Tuesday, November 18 at 5 PM, we gather at Long Beach City Hall to honor Brandon’s Angelversary and demand real accountability.

Bring a white flower. Wear a green ribbon for mental health awareness.

Stand in solidarity with Brandon’s family and all families harmed by police violence.

Share your story during Public Comment. Let the City hear us.
