Remember Brandon Boyd, Nov 19 Candlelight Vigil

In Loving Memory of Brandon Boyd, Wednesday, November 19 at 5 PM

On November 19, we gather in love and remembrance.

One year ago, Brandon Boyd, a father of six, a son, brother, and uncle, reached out for help in his moment of crisis. He texted 911 for support from the steps of his childhood church and he never made it home.

Brandon was treated like a criminal immediately, and about two hours after he’d reached out for help, he was killed by LBPD. His body was left uncovered for hours. His sisters and niece were arrested instead of comforted. His family's trauma didn't end that night, and neither does our responsibility to remember him.

This Wednesday, on his Angelversary, we come together to honor Brandon's life and stand with his family. We gather not only to mourn what was taken, but to affirm what still binds us: community, connection, and the demand for dignity in moments of crisis.

Bring a candle, a friend, and a jacket.

Let's surround his family with care. Let's hold space for healing. Let's remember #BrandonBoyd and recommit ourselves to the fight for a world where Black lives in crisis receive compassion, not violence.

You being there matters.
