Know Your Rights. Build Your Power. Join Us March 31.

Join us for our monthly Black Neighborhood Tenant Council meeting on the last Tuesday of each month!

Join us Tuesday, March 31, for the Black Neighborhood Tenant Council meeting from 6–8pm at BLU Art & Wellness Gallery.

This month, we’re focusing on something every renter needs: understanding your lease and your rights.

Too often, tenants are expected to navigate complicated agreements and unclear rules on their own. This space is about changing that.

Because power is built through understanding the system and knowing how to hold it accountable, we’ll break things down in plain language and walk through:

  • What your lease actually means

  • Your rights under Long Beach tenant protections

  • What landlords are responsible for

  • How to document repairs and protect yourself

  • What steps to take when issues aren’t being addressed

We’ll have a light dinner, and families are welcome. There will be a family section for those bringing children.

If you’re a renter, this is for you. If you know someone navigating housing challenges, bring them with you.
